Kinomania in Plovdiv 2022
Lucky Cinema House 

From November 18th to December 4th we invite you to the "Lucky  Cinema House" for the 17th edition of Kinomania in Plovdiv. The World Cinema Panorama is one of the most important and popular film events in Bulgaria. We are proud to share it with you.
During the 17 days of KINOMANIA we will premiere some of the most attractive and valuable films from world cinema - the latest European and world titles, as well as several musical and documentary films.
Opening on November 18 at 6:30 pm is the documentary "Hallelujah: Laird Cohen, One Journey, One Song". Told through the lens of the iconic song "Hallelujah," we meet music legend Lennard Cohen. We will also dive into the world of music with "Cesaria Evora". The Portuguese documentary tells the story of the world-famous Cape Verdean singer and her deep, rich voice. "Cesaria Evora" will be screened on November 30 at 8:30 pm.
One of the highlights of this year's festival is Steven Spielberg's new film, "The Feibelman Family." The confessional and utterly spellbinding film is the great director's declaration of love for the magic of cinema. Set in the late 1950s and early 1960s, this almost autobiographical coming-of-age tale is told through the eyes of Sammy Feibelman, a boy who falls in love with cinema and its making. The screening of "The Feibelman Family" is December 3 at 6:30 pm.
This year's program also includes Cannes Film Festival Palme d'Or winner "The Idiot Triangle." The exciting Scandinavian comedy, which sees Woody Harrelson as the captain, takes us on a cruise ship with a bunch of rich guys who get caught in a storm and a lot of surprising events. You can watch the film on December 4 at 6:30 pm.
On the big screen at the festival, we'll get to meet a few more of our favorite actors in the latest films. Ralph Fiennes and Jessica Chastain team up in the UK's Atonement on November 25 at 6:30 pm. The two are a wealthy couple who kill a poor Moroccan man in a car accident and try to cover up the case.

The festival will run from November 18 to December 4. Tickets are priced at 9 leva with a discount for students and seniors - 7 leva.
