After 25 years of active work in various musical formations in the country and abroad, as a performer, arranger and composer, the tireless trombonist Vili Stoyanov releases his first author's album.
Apart from being the successor of the famous composer Yosif Tsankov, Vili is known on the local scene for his activities in the revival of brass music in the country. As a co-founder of the Bulgarian Brass Association, he is the ideologist of a large part of the musical projects in its portfolio - BrazzViliDJ, The essential FUNK trombone, Old School Trombone, the initiative to revive the music of Yosif Tsankov, within the framework of which 2 albums and 5 musicals were realized programs – for jazz sextet, big band, bossa nova, trombone chamber quartet and for chamber symphony orchestra, solo trombone and jazz trio. Together with Misho Yosifov, they are ideologues and drivers of a number of other musical projects.
Vili's cheerful character and his social nature, together with his love for the musicians with whom he builds his creative career, as well as the lack of any pretension, logically lead to the name of the new album - Some nice melodies, to share with friends.
Like-minded people in the realization of his author's ideas in the album are Milen Kukosharov, Martin Tashev, Dimitar L'olev, Boris Taslev and Atanas Popov, and special guests in the sound recordings, to which Vili has dedicated separate solo pieces, are Mikhail Yosifov, Dimitar Karamfilov, Militsa Gladnishka and Svetoslav Nikolov.
With no claim to a specific genre affiliation, but with a guarantee of virtuoso improvisations, the album is entrusted to the hands of some of the closest to Willy and have proven themselves as bright representatives of the contemporary music scene.
