The Autumn Fair of crafts will be carried out from the 24-th to the 27-th of September. 
More than 50 craftsmen from all around the country are going to demonstrate over 20 traditional crafts. This year, along with the fair, a traditional craft for working out woolen clothes (bulg. “plastene”) will be demonstrated at the square on the opposite of the Balabanov house. This traditional craft is supposed to have been practiced from Ancient times, as many clothes have been found and dated back to 2 500 – 2 600 years ago.
During the fists part of the contest the participants will fulfil a task set by the jury from the Ethnographic museum. During the second part they will create an item of their choice. All of the items from the first part will be donated to the Ethnographic museum. 
On the 24-th and 25-th of September at 13:00 and 17:00 o’clock a seminar will be carried out in the Bakalov House. There are going to be workshops for children, as well. 
After the contest the items will be exhibited in the “Crafts” Gallery.
The Autumn Fair of Crafts is a part of the annual Festival of the Old Town.
