Stefan Karchev graduated Fashion Design in Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp.
His graduation collection was inspired by the folklore which mixes actively sports clothing and fragments from totally different sources.
The collection includes a lot of traditional elements, but remade and distorted according to his personal aesthetics. Unexpected details pop up to remind indirectly about the folklore thread. They accomplish this by their location, pattern and form of the silhouette. Everyday objects have an effect on design through their function and visual perception.
Convenience and functionality turn into aesthetics only when they lose their purpose and are placed in different context.
