"A Night of Tango and Gypsy Romances" - Part II is the name of another exciting project featuring Kaloyan Kumanov - accordion, Stiliyan Dermendzhiev - violin, Momchil Karaivanov - tenor, Ralitsa Boteva - piano, with the special participation of Nora Marsha - dance.

The event is on March 23, 2023, at 19.00 in the Regional History Museum - Plovdiv and is free admission.

After the great success of the first part, which took place in October last year with the special participation of violin maestro Evgeny Shevkanov, Kaloyan Kumanov decided to continue the project and to delight the large number of fans who could not find a place in the packed Unification Hall, and all the fans who look forward to each of his performances - alone or with talented colleagues and collaborators.

Kaloyan Kumanov is a virtuoso accordionist who, with boundless curiosity, zest and great talent, manages to combine a variety of styles and music from different eras and connect them with the sound of the accordion. Kaloyan is a graduate of AMTII "Prof. Assen Diamandiev" in Plovdiv, where he studied music pedagogy and accordion in the class of Georgi Mitev and Petar Marinov and choral conducting under chief assistant Dimitar Grigorov. After graduating from the Academy, he applied and was accepted to the State University of Barcelona. There he specialized in music pedagogy and conducting in the class of the renowned Spanish conductor Edmont Elgstrom and Dr. Rosa Maria Girbao (Director of the Department of Music Culture of Barcelona and President of the Catalan Association for Associate Professors, Professors and Music Educators).

From 2008 to 2010 he was part of the accordion quintet of the Chamber Classical Orchestra of Barcelona,(OKAB) with which he toured throughout Spain. For 11 years he taught accordion, piano, solfege and choir at one of the schools of the Liceu Conservatory in Barcelona, as well as at several other well-known schools in Catalonia.

Kaloyan returned to Plovdiv 6 years ago and has been actively involved in the cultural life of the city. Together with Evelin Demirev, Stoyan Yankulov - Stunji and Angel Dyulgerov he created the Kaloyan Kumanov Project.

The project "Night of Tango and Gypsy Romances" is funded by the Municipality of Plovdiv and is part of the city's Cultural Calendar for 2023.
